In Nanjiah Lingammal Polytechnic College in Tamil Nadu, the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 1999 to create skilled electrical engineers and innovators of tomorrow emerge.
The three years course of diploma in Electrical and Electronics is intended to train the students in both core areas and specialised topics in the emerging technology with helps them to meet the challenges in the electrical field and improve their ability to pursue high study.
The department of electrical engineering has qualified and dedicated teaching faculty members with technical supporting staff members for keeping the campus as a temple of knowledge in the field of electrical engineering.
The department of electrical and electronics engineering has excellent infrastructure and facilities for students. It is well equipped with electrical machines lab, wiring and winding lab, electrical workshop lab, AutoCAD lab and simulation lab. Also, the necessary licenses software are available for all students.
The department also conducted seminars, department association meeting, workshops and short term courses on emerging technologies for the benefits of the students.
The diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering department also arranges industrial visits to different power plants, switch gear and contactors manufacturing factories for the benefits of the students.
The faculty members are often participating in various faculty development programmes, workshops, seminars held in different colleges and companies to update their knowledge in the field of Electrical and Electronics engineering.
